Billy Austin

VP, Security Solutions

Billy Austin brings more than 30 years of security expertise to Kaseya, through the acquisition of the RocketCyber SOC where he served as President & Co-founder. 



Previously, Mr. Austin was the co-founder of iScan Online, acquired by LogicNow / SolarWinds. Prior to both successful startup ventures, Mr. Austin spent over a decade as the Chief Security Officer in the vulnerability management industry. Prior to the latest software startups, he founded the cellular intercept binary system used to detect and decipher conversations for the intelligence community. 



He is a frequent speaker on the topics of exploits, threats and attacks with a history of developing successful security startup technologies. Mr. Austin holds an Applied Science degree from Mountain View College and was a contributing author to the SANS/FBI Top 10 exploits and vulnerabilities.

Chris Gerritz

Director, Information Security

Chris joined Datto through the 2022 acquisition of Infocyte, Inc., a detection and response technology company. As co-founder of Infocyte, he led the company from its inception as chief executive and head of product.

From a decade of military service, Chris draws on both leadership and deep technical experience serving as a cryptographic systems maintainer, cyber warfare officer and pilot. In his final assignment, Chris established the U.S. Air Force’s elite Defensive Counter-Cyber (DCC) practice. In this role, he led a team of 28 operators tasked with finding, tracking, and neutralizing state-sponsored threats on the Air Force’s $2B, 800k node enterprise network.

Chris holds a B.S. in Electrical & Computer Engineering from Oregon State University.

Chris McKie

VP, Product Marketing - Security and Networking Solutions

Having more than 15 years of cybersecurity experience, McKie leads the security solutions product marketing team at Datto and Kaseya. Prior to joining Datto, he managed global market strategy and product marketing for FireEye’s network security product portfolio. Additional experience includes having worked at Cisco, Fortinet, MetricStream, and WatchGuard. McKie has authored numerous articles regarding compliance, cybersecurity frameworks, email security, ransomware and lateral threat detection. He holds a JD in law.

Jason Manar

Chief Information Security Officer

Jason Manar is the Chief Information Security Officer of Kaseya, the leading provider of unified IT management and security software for managed service providers (MSPs) and small to medium-sized business (SMBs).

Prior to joining Kaseya, Jason was named assistant special agent in charge for the FBI where he supervised all cyber, counterintelligence, intelligence and the language service programs for the San Diego office. He began his career as a special agent with the FBI in 2006, serving as the Safe Streets Gang and Violent Crime Task Force coordinator for the FBI’s Springfield Division and investigated drug trafficking organizations, violent crime, cybercrime and transnational organized crime. Jason was later transferred to Detroit where he worked public corruption, civil rights and health care fraud.

He was eventually promoted to supervisory special agent (SSA) in the Cyber Division where he worked in the Major Cyber Crimes Unit combating cybercriminal threats targeting U.S. entities. During that time, Jason built relationships with key partners from the private sector and was instrumental in the creation of Microsoft’s Cybercrime Center.

Most recently, prior to his work with the San Diego office, Jason was assigned as the Miami cybercrime SSA, where he managed all FBI criminal cyber operations within the Southern District of Florida, the Caribbean and Central and South America. He became the cyber program coordinator (PCOR) and also oversaw complex cyber intrusion investigations.
